Awful in between

Butterflies in my tummy, anxiety, apprehension

Concern for not knowing what to expect

A perfect happy world shacked by the unknown,

Priorities, realities, dreams and plans put on hold

A life on pause waiting for the answer…

Rage and hope fighting to reign,

Logic and uneasiness guessing the possible answer,

Ego and soul arguing on commonsense

Only knowledge will put at rest the discomfort, will end the test,

Will give the chance to take a step

Lost in that awful in between, of not knowing what is going to be…

A cry of anger that keep asking: Why me?

A content soul accepting what it could be

Lost in that awful in between,

From which only the answer can rescue me!

Lousy melodramatic thoughts, striking now and then

A persistent fight to silent them all

A deep and raspy howl for help

Then…. silence and acknowledgment

As I find contentment in that awful in-between

Gabi - I have to wonder what is going on?
What are you in-between? This post has me a little worried.

Very Nice Gabi, that "awful in between" can be the balance point or that awful place of indecision. Also as Leon Russell said "Up on the tight wire, one side ice and one is fire." Aren't we all caught between being and becoming?

Oh, dear! Sounds ominous.

Nothing to worry about dear Kass, as Tag said, I´m caught between being and becoming while trying to find the balance point... But life is all about that, so I´m happy in my awful in-between.

Thanks for being there.

Dear Tag, you put it perfectly, change, indecision and finding the balance point defines what we will become. But as I said before these are:
"Moments to be lived to the fullest, with passion, enthusiasm and greatness

Moments that come and pass,
moments that will never be back"

so I´m enjoying this awful in-between to the fullest.

It´s ominous indeed - but isn´t that as necessary as air?
The push we need from time to time to define who we are...

Thank you Jonas for stopping by.

ah, gabi, what a wonderful/awful place to be. it's where all things are possible, and none are yet fully manifest. breathe, listen, watch, act. repeat as needed!

Hey Gabi,
I agree with you and Standing, it is a wonderful/awful place to be, but it is a scary place too. But you're, it can be a blessing in disguise and we just have t pay attention!

Gabriela Abalo said...

Bunda,
the scary part is what make it awful... that notion of not knowing what is going to happen.

thank for stopping by.

isn't that so powerful..? My Dear, I stumble upon such pieces rarely- yours happen to be one of them.. very true, very blatant-
I am amazed-

Thank you Olivia for stopping by.

Finding contentment isn't easy when one is "in-between", but it can be done.
