Commonsense

Je pence
Out of commonsense
To built a fence
For my defense

Don’t be tense
I know I’m intense
But please don’t take offense
Based on false pretense

Please, hold the suspense
And all your incense
Until your sense
Understands my self-defense

My abhorrence
And abstinence
Aren’t a coincidence
I’m lacking the confidence
That will make the difference

My innocence
And inexperience
Were busted by your indifference
You insulted my intelligence
With your insolence

My intransigence
Is your penitence
Patience and persistence
Will prove your prudence

Silence is my preference
To answer your impertinence
So you see, why my fence is commonsense!

Reason

Searching for reasons?...

“Reason is the natural order of truth; but imagination is the organ of meaning.”
- C.S. Lewis

“Prejudices are what fools use for reason.”
- Voltaire

“The way to see by Faith is to shut the Eye of Reason.”
- Benjamin Franklin

“The heart has reasons that reason cannot know.”
- Blaise Pascal

“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.”
- George Bernard Shaw

“The man who listens to Reason is lost: Reason enslaves all whose minds
are not strong enough to master her”

- George Bernard Shaw

“Dubito ergo cogito; cogito ergo sum.
(I doubt, therefore I think; I think therefore I am)”
- Rene Descartes

Painting the world

I want to paint the world with lively colors, full of hope and understanding.
I want to brush away all conflicts, global warming, sadness and unkindness
I want to inspire confidence, trust, freedom and creativity
I want to paint all the unseen things so that the rest of the world can enjoy their beauty
I want to brush away the general indifference and unconsciousness
I want to surprise the world and shake it for as long as it’s needed.

I want to paint what I see and how I see it while I travel through life.

Brown moments

Brown talks about permanence, consistency and approachability.
It whispers about Mother Earth and connects us with her.
Browns give us a sense of feeling safe, neat and wholesomeness…

Some of my awesome browns life moments:

A monkey iron sculpture at a Lusaka craft market… I love the way the monkey is seated,
overlooking the whereabouts of the market activities.

The small guy that takes care of my kitchen garden…
he lights his lamp every night… then magic begins...

A small flower getting ready to nourish mother earth with its seeds…

A splendid pedicure :)

Their chest is so beautiful and meaningful… you can find them at 3,260 m high in the Simien Montain – Ethiopia

Our Rhodesian Ridgeback dog…

One of the castles at Gondar – Ethiopia

Time for a traditional coffee? Directly from its original place…

Dry season in the African bush

Undressing for the season… ;)

loveNlight

Where is light there is love...
Open your mind, open your heart, leave all fears and beliefs behind
Be adventurous, get ready to be surprised...
there is beauty in everything...

Let me share with you some of the beauty I captured with my camera

Did you ever ask someone to capture the light?

Your life is something opaque, not transparent,
as long as you look at it in an ordinary human way.
But if you hold it up against the light of God's goodness,
it shines and turns transparent, radiant and bright.
And then you ask yourself in amazement:
Is this really my own life I see before me?
~Albert Schweitzer

Light is life...

"The sun shines and warms and lights us and we have no curiosity
to know why this is so; but we ask the reason of all evil, of pain,
and hunger, and mosquitoes and silly people."
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Light can take your breath away...

"Beauty is not in the face;
beauty is a light in the heart."
~Kahlil Gibran

Light can transform anything...

The black moment is the moment when the real message
of transformation is going to come.
At the darkest moment comes the light.
~Joseph Campbell

Light blesses everything...

An age is called "dark," not because
the light fails to shine but because
people refuse to see it.
~James Michener

Light is warm, mysterious and it is magic...

"Begin challenging your own assumptions.
Your assumptions are your windows on the world.
Scrub them off every once in awhile, or the light won't come in."
~Alan Alda
