Clumsy hands moving up and down
Haunted fingertips infinitely counting
For every pearl a tear dropped
For every tear a pearl counted
Memories attached
Feelings concealed
Plenty to reveal
Symbol of purity and renovation
A continuous prompt to be sincere
An urge to remain dignified
A push to keep searching for happiness
The perfect gift she has ever received
From the one she will always grieve

just so beautiful! - a piece to which we can all relate - your words here as softly beautiful as that string of pearls - and i, too, have that string of pearls -
I liked what you wrote, but it was a little sad at the end. You touched me.
Poignant and stirring.

Lovely and so sad. Well done.
Your piece reminds me of how creations (objects) carry special significance to the beholder, especially in times when deep emotion is conveyed. The tone to me has an effective element of detachment in recognition of grief, which works well.
We all grieve differently and different things bring it on. This was lovely though sad.
This is a sad yet powerful poem Gabriela...your experience and pain brings strength to your writing and message...this is beautiful! :-)
Sad stuff, well rendered.
The gift that keeps on giving.
Nice One Shot, Gabriela!
