Legacy

Clumsy hands moving up and down
Haunted fingertips infinitely counting
For every pearl a tear dropped
For every tear a pearl counted

Memories attached
Feelings concealed
Plenty to reveal

Symbol of purity and renovation
A continuous prompt to be sincere
An urge to remain dignified
A push to keep searching for happiness

The perfect gift she has ever received
From the one she will always grieve

I liked what you wrote, but it was a little sad at the end. You touched me.

Your piece reminds me of how creations (objects) carry special significance to the beholder, especially in times when deep emotion is conveyed. The tone to me has an effective element of detachment in recognition of grief, which works well.

We all grieve differently and different things bring it on. This was lovely though sad.

Poignant heartache of a love lost, spun threadlike through tears and pearls.
