Antennas - Skywatch Friday, Season 4, Episode 23

"All my life I had been looking for something, and everywhere I turned
someone tried to tell me what it was.  I accepted their answers too,
though they were often in contradiction and even self-contradictory.
I was naïve.  I was looking for myself and asking everyone except
myself questions which I, and only I, could answer.  It took me a long time
and much painful boomeranging of my expectations to achieve
a realization everyone else appears to have been born with:
that I am nobody but myself."
  ~Ralph Ellison

"Always be a first-rate version of yourself,
instead of a second-rate version of somebody else."
 ~Judy Garland

"Almost every man wastes part of his life in attempts to display
qualities which he does not possess, and to gain applause
which he cannot keep."
 ~Samuel Johnson

Awww! I like GOLD! Neat idea taking photos of the same sky at different times of the day, including a landmark--skymark???

And how true, Mr Samuel Johnson!

Gabriella these are magnificent photos!!!! The first one and the first quote in particular speak to me. The vastness of the sky, the layers of clouds...this is what we discover when we begin to look within to understand our sacred place in the universe.

Stunning! The red and pink sky in first one takes one's breath away.

My thoughts echo Luna's... All three skies are stunning, yet with that red of the first one, raspberries and deep hued silks come to mind. Emerson was right on! Have a lovely weekend, Gabi.

The first picture almost looks inverted. I heard that after three days of standing on your head, the world will right itself. Funny, how I've been waiting so much longer.

Man, here in Ohio, the skies are either grey, blue, or, if it's dark, black. We certainly don't get anything like that top picture.
