i like getting slapped around by reality. It makes me think I'm not making this all up. What motivated this post on a Friday Gabriela?
Hi Tag,
don't really know why I posted it on a Friday.... maybe because this is a very special Friday to me... a step out of safety and a step in into adventure... ;-)
Then I also like to play with perspective and ponder about a specific concept, which significance is directly related to each individual point of view...
What is real and what is not? Does reality is apparent and subject to the one assessing it?
Guess I'm on a Friday mood!

Colour blind people cant see green....
I especially love the Jane Wagner line, "What is reality anyway! It's nothing but a collective hunch." She wrote it for Lily Tomlin, who used it in her brilliant one-woman show on Broadway, "The Search For Signs of Intelligent Life In the Universe."
Reality is something I think about all the time. If I try to fit into your version of reality, I won't have mine. It's all so relative. I happen to belong to that school of thought believing the universe is made from consciousness. Like matter, it's mutable.
You raise interesting questions. Like the impressionist Artist who's vision may have been flawed and they paint what they saw. Or as an old friend says "if I'm having a problem I just look at it like this" as he tilts his head to the side.
@ Anonymous: exactly!!

Dear Kass,
I happen to be from that school too... everything is mutable as everything changes, whether we like it or not.
My reality isn't your reality; an apple isn't the same apple to u and me...
Pondering about these things is fun and a gulp of air into our daily drama - knowing that a problem can be transformed into a blessing - just by looking at it from a different angle.
Playing around with what seem to be facts, which probably are not!!
OMG I could ponder about this subject forever and ever…so rather I stop right here.
Tag,
It is all a matter of perspective, we can see the glass half empty or half full… it all depends on who and how it is being looked at.

"I think it's in my basement... let me go upstairs and check." I LOVE this. I am so confused at this very moment that reality and anything other are swirling around in a melting pot of gray matter. "If I only had a brain...."
given that reality is an illusion, which illusion do you pick?
Annie,
When going through rough times, we need to keep strong and faithful that soon everything will be ok and that things will start to make sense once again.

Standing,
I will definitely go for the illusion that suits me better to the kind or reality I want to have. But, that can only be done if we are fully conscious that reality is an illusion and not a fact – which is not usually the case, as we are deeply lost on the drama we create.

ah yes, the drama, the drama. where would we be without it? how would we entertain ourselves?? :)
i'm like kass, i could ponder, and pontificate, on this for ages.
