Painting the world

I want to paint the world with lively colors, full of hope and understanding.
I want to brush away all conflicts, global warming, sadness and unkindness
I want to inspire confidence, trust, freedom and creativity
I want to paint all the unseen things so that the rest of the world can enjoy their beauty
I want to brush away the general indifference and unconsciousness
I want to surprise the world and shake it for as long as it’s needed.

I want to paint what I see and how I see it while I travel through life.

Oh, this is beautiful, Gabi... I so relate to your words and wishes. Your world today is full of color; such a contrast to my drab, sad sepia (referring to my post, not my life.)

Well I think you do all of that, except perhaps global warming. That's a biggie and you may need a little help. I love the green fly on the daisy pic.

Is that a setting sun in the second picture, or early evening full moon? I can't tell. Whatever it is, it's an interesting contrast to the TV attenna on the old looking building.

both the images and words are beautiful, evocative. you have a sense of your enviroment that few can capture.

Thank you all for your tender words.

Kirk: I took that picture at 7am - and it is a full moon - a real gift from the universe ;)

Lorraine: thanks for you continuous encouragement. How are you doing with the 7D?

I couldn't help recalling an old joke as I read through this entertaining post: "They say it's a small world, but wouldn't you hate to have to paint it?"

I couldn't decide what was more inspiring, the words or the images!

Loved the colors Gabi, those with which you painted the verse, as well as that of the images! ;)

Beautiful photos -- I love the moon one. It's wonderful by itself but it's a picture that could inspire haiku -- which that were my poetic forte.

Wonderful words and images, especially the moon.
