Be and let be

Mirror, mirror of my soul
Please tell me why you howl
Every time I look at you

Why are you playing games with me?
I dislike what you reveal
Please reflect only nice things
Just the ones I like to see

Mirror, mirror of my soul
Let’s create a better world
Just by changing our approach
When reflecting what we see

Let’s get undressed
Throw away our prejudices
Tear up intolerance
Erase discrimination
Don’t stop until we are naked

Mirror, mirror of my soul
Why did you stop reflecting?

Yes, we really do need to think about what we reflect to the world. I really enjoyed this reflective poem (no pun intended).

Very nice. We all need to feel a little more love when looking in the mirror and a lot less judgment. And also to remember when we look at others- especially those we admire- that they're all mirrors too.

This is profound and thought-provoking...especilly the ending. It's as if the image is pausing to reflect on its own reflection.

It's funny, mirrors only reflect what is before them, but also as in a house of mirrors... what we see is not always what is there.

Mirrors truly show us our souls and dreams, when we look close enough.

I like your touching on the fairy tale (Mirror, Mirror et all), then bringing in the reality of life.

No doubt, this is quite profound...Reflecting the soul is good, reflecting the ego is what must change..

Beautifully written.
That old howling mirror always reveals the truth I guess.

dont believe what you see...only measure it and decide what you need to change...really like the verse about getting undressed and laying aside prejudice...
